Texas Tops CNBC's Best States for Business

A CNBC study found Texas to be the clear winner of America's top state for business, receiving the largest point total in the history of the study, despite the nation's economic struggles. Now in its fourth year, the study develops point totals for each state by taking into consideration numerous categories including cost of doing business, workforce, quality of life, economy, transportation and infrastructure, technology and innovation, education, business friendliness, access to capital and cost of living. Texas powers through the hard times due to its strong economy, which has been ranked number one every year of the study and is the 15th largest economy in the world.
